The Opportunity

As our Skin Health Program Manager, you will find this role full of variety and responsibility where you will get to use your ability to co-ordinate diverse research projects and positively coach, train and manage your team, to respond and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.

Skin Health has both a local and national focus through established links with a network of collaborators, so key to this role will be supporting the Head, Skin Health to develop and capitalise on this network with your excellent interpersonal skills. An important part of your new role will be supporting and managing the team here in Perth and Broome, most often managing several moving parts simultaneously. This will include all aspects of leadership and project management including strategy, safety, people management, compliance (internal/external), risk management, reporting and finances/budgeting.

About You
This position would suit somebody with strong people and research management, and excellent organisational skills, with a passion for clinical research and working with vulnerable and low resource populations.

The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead across multiple sites, mentor and manage and work effectively in a complex and changing environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed project planning, coordination, and management skills; ability to lead the development and implementation of multiple research projects.
  • Working in a collaborative research environment with diverse stakeholders and to be able to support and teach culturally diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Significant experience in research design; research leadership, coordination, implementation and management; financial management, research translation.
