Faculty of Business, Economics & Law

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) incorporates three schools - UQ Business School, the School of Economics and the Law School - and two research centres - the Australian Institute for Business and Economics (AIBE) and the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH).

About This Opportunity

Contribute to the administration of policy and procedures in relation to student and academic matters within the BEL Faculty with emphasis on students who are academically at risk. Providing a high level of professional service to students and other stakeholders of the Faculty, you will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely advice and support to students. Supporting the Senior Academic Support Officer, you will assist with monitoring students' compliance with conditions of re-enrolment set by the Associate Dean (Academic) and completing the activities on Back on Track.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment - you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this position you will have well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, evident from a solid background in providing quality customer service to a wide range of individuals. The successful applicant will possess a demonstrated ability to effectively use IT systems, and organise workflow to meet competing demands and deadlines. Experience and knowledge of policies and procedures relating to student administration is highly desirable.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at Professional Level 04.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $65,424.85 - $69,453.78, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $76,547.07 - $81,260.92.
