About the School:

The College is well-known for its ability to provide holistic education to students. They are dedicated to providing high quality teaching, exceptional facilities and resources, to help develop the students’ integrity, pride and commitment to lifelong learning.

About the Role:

  • Term 2 start (19th April, 2021) or as soon as possible
  • Full time, fixed term (12 months). Position could become permanent for the right candidate after the probation period
  • Junior Science - Year 8 and 10 (ability to teach Year 7 and 8 Music would be advantageous)
  • Modern facilities, equipment and resources
  • Induction, professional development and learning opportunities

Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience (minimum: Education Diploma or Education Degree in relevant curriculum area)
  • Effectively perform educational responsibilities, including (but not exclusive to) lesson planning and the writing of assessment and units of work as delegated
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, curriculum initiatives
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Excellent technological literacy
  • QCT registration or ability to obtain prior to commencement
  • Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights
  • Provide a minimum of two professional references (Principal and HOD preferred)
  • Actively support the College’s Catholic Ethos
  • Ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment for all students
  • Ability to work in or relocate to North Queensland (Townsville)
