Short Description

This exciting leadership position oversees the daily operations and strategic development of the Crèche, Outside of School Hours Care and Vacation Care. As a motivated and customer focused leader, the Children's Programs Coordinator will lead a highly engaged and dedicated team of Children's Programs staff in the exceptional delivery of the National Quality Framework in Outside School Hours Care. You will experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you lead community and family engagement, with children at the heart of our service philosophy.

The Horsham Aquatic Centre is owned by the Horsham Rural City Council and managed by YMCA Victoria. As a YMCA community centre, we understand the needs of our members and visitors. Knowledge and Experience
Possess an excellent understanding of the Education and Care National
Regulations 2011, Education and Care Act 2010, Children Services Act (1996) and
Children Services Regulations (2009)
Demonstrated high level of competence in stakeholder management and working
with government and school partners
Experience in staff leadership including coaching, motivating and supporting staff
Sound financial management skills and proven record of accomplishment in
achieving business targets
Personal Attributes
High level of verbal and written communication skills
High level of problem-solving and effective, autonomous decision-making skills
Proven ability to establish and maintain positive professional networks that facilitate
effective communication and operations within the local environment

Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications

Tertiary Qualification in relevant field
First Aid Level 2
Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Certificate
Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualification

  • ACF Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate (completion online prior to commencement)
  • Two reference checks.
