Records Management Officer

Full time fixed-term position for 12 months
Based in Launceston
Utilise your skills, knowledge and guidance in records and information management practices.

The Enterprise Business Services Team is part of the Information Technology Services (IT Services) team at the University of Tasmania, providing IT services for the University's staff and students.

The Opportunity

Responsible for client service delivery to business areas by providing support, advice and assistance in the creation, registration and disposal of records and information.

Key Accountabilities:
Apply best practice processes in the creation, registration, location, maintenance, retrieval, disposal and overall management of records and information.
Work collaboratively with clients, to ensure that records and information management practices comply with University Records Management Policy, Guidelines and Procedures.
Act as first point of contact for clients, providing advice, support and guidance in records and information management practices.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

Completion of a diploma level qualification or extensive experience in a records and information management role; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
An understanding of recordkeeping principles and current practices and the ability to apply consistent, uniform work practices with close attention to detail.
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills, with experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholder at all levels.
Ability to identify issues or problems and contribute to the development of strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolving them.


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $73,516 comprising base salary within the range of $63,375 to $67,138 plus 9.5% superannuation.
