TAFE NSW is currently looking for a passionate Teacher Consultant for our St Leonards campuses on a temporary full-time basis. You could be a teacher who is looking to diversify skills within the disability sector or a seasoned Teacher Consultant who is already in a similar role.

The Opportunity

As one of our Disability Teaching Consultants, you will be responsible for establishing reasonable adjustment education plans and coordinating specialist teaching and non-teaching support services for students with disability. You must possess strong negotiation and collaboration skills and have excellent communication skills to collaborate with other team members. This role will suit a Teacher within a disability sector who enjoys working in a busy educational environment and supports advocacy for students.

This is a temporary full-time role available until December 2021 (with a possibility of extension) located at St Leonards TAFE NSW campus.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following;

  • Highly developed skills in, and knowledge of, post-compulsory education of people with a disability.
  • Degree or Diploma in an area relevant to the education of people with disability or qualifications deemed to be equivalent under the Australian Qualification Framework
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110* plus the TAELLN411 & TAEASS502 units) OR its successor (TAE40116) OR a Diploma in VET or Adult Education or studying towards one of the above
