The ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology is seeking a suitably qualified Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Synthetic Biology and Yeast 2.0 team based in Department of Molecular Science but working across multiple disciplines to assist in the completion, construction, and troubleshooting of synthetic yeast chromosome 16. This role will also participate in the ARC Centre of Excellence in SynBio research to construct synthetic microbial communities and develop novel metabolic pathways.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain close working relationships with the Synthetic Biology and Yeast 2.0 team, including other postdoctoral fellows, research students, and Chief Investigators at Macquarie University (Distinguished Professor Ian Paulsen and Professor Sakkie Pretorius) as well as CoESB Investigators in research groups and nodes in other universities in Australia and overseas to progress the Centre's research, translation, and outreach objectives.
