The PVC Learning and Teaching is seeking a Learning Innovation Manager to research, develop and execute market leading initiatives in multi-modal learning, teaching and assessment, and digitally enhanced pedagogical approaches. The position will be an active and prominent contributor to leading learning and teaching technology and pedagogical innovation in the higher education industry.

The Learning Innovation Manager will develop, lead and execute new initiatives for multi-modal approaches to learning and teaching as well as digital delivery and assessment, student e-portfolio, micro-credentials and other future thinking and market leading learning and teaching initiatives.

About You

As the successful candidate for this position, you will have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategies for engaging and communicating learning and teaching initiatives. You successfully use strategic communication and change management tools to ensure collaboration, integration and embedding of best practice and strive to ensure you remain abreast of new and innovative teaching and learning thinking in Australia and overseas.

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) is located within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio and is responsible for strengthening learning and teaching at Macquarie through developing academic staff capabilities, developing and maintaining a suite of quality academic programs, creating and maintaining flexible and innovative physical and virtual learning spaces and enhancing our student learning experience.   • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies for engaging and communicating learning and teaching initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating learning innovation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate project scope and deliverables with key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing teams and resources across multiple units/groups.
  • A postgraduate qualification in education with significant relevant experience and/or combination of extensive relevant experience in a higher education environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management practices and skills
