JOB DESCRIPTION

A large Government department is urgently seeking an experienced Trainer to support their training and assessment services.


easyR is a division of Easy Authoring providing Contingent Staffing Solutions.


  • $600 - $786 per day plus super
  • Sydney based

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality training and assessment services in a suite of EAM systems and business skill areas for business groups to ensure that staff develop and maintain required competencies to effectively use the system in the workplace.
  • Assist with the evaluation of training and assessment services to ensure compliance with EAM system requirements, best practice training and adult learning principles, training policies and procedures, organisational and industry standards, and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Liaise with workplace managers and other relevant stakeholders to provide information and advice on training issues, to assist in the development of effective training packages that ensure the transfer of technical skills and competencies to staff in both on the job and off the job training.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of training materials and manuals, ensuring compliance with endorsed organisational and industry standards as well as relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations.
  • Maintain training and assessment documentation, in accordance with appropriate records management systems and procedures and legislative requirements, to support accreditation.
  • Participate in the Train-The-Trainer program.
  • Manage the training classroom including class set up, clean up and training material management (working with the Training Administrator). Managing online training where classroom training cannot take place.
  • Prepare for and conduct training courses according to training materials and delivery standards.
  • Assist with the update of training material on the SEN platform (SAP Enable Now)
  • Complete course evaluations and monitor student performance for competency
  • Comply with departmental information security guidelines, precedents and mechanisms and play an active role in protecting the information assets and intellectual property of the organisation.


Key Experience/Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, including a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.
  • Sound experience delivering high quality education/training and assessment services on a large business transformation project, preferably SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning program of work.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering a range of technical systems and business skills training to a diverse audience of stakeholders/business users.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database Software.
  • Experience using SAP Enable Now (SEN) as a training technology platform would be highly regarded.
