12-month fixed term, full time appointment
Academic Level A, $66,864 to $100,312 per annum
Plus 9.5% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave

As a VET Lecturer/Workplace Assessor - Hairdressing you are responsible for the development and delivery of training whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the VET Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training Package. You will deliver training programs through flexible learning environments including, classrooms, workplace environments and external and online delivery.

Preferably, you will demonstrate experience providing training within a Registered Training Organisation and have contemporary knowledge of the Vocational Educational and Training industry. Key to the role is liaising with industry and the development of new business to ensure the ongoing success of the training programs.

Ideally, you will possess certificate qualifications in Hairdressing, with recent relevant industry experience in the sector. A current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is also required for this position. Your high level interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language.
