Full Job Description
The School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees including a fully accredited undergraduate Paramedical Science course and a range of postgraduate courses. The Paramedical Science team is passionate about developing the role of paramedics to meet the needs of the community, and creating a dynamic learning space for high quality paramedical science graduates who are valued members of the health workforce.

ECU is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Placement Coordinator to join our placement team in performing a range of tasks to ensure that students in our paramedicine course will achieve a great learning experience by participating in clinical placements in industry. This role is a key contact for students as they prepare for and undertake their placement. The Placement Coordinator will also liaise closely with nominated industry partners and be a contact point for staff in relation to student placements.

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Undergraduate degree in paramedicine, nursing or other relevant health related field and/or AHPRA registration.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience in coordination of complex processes.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in the WA and/or national healthcare system.
  • Knowledge of supervision requirements for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in healthcare organisations.
  • Experience in a higher education environment would be highly regarded.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration
This part-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $82,658 to $89,180 (pro-rata) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
