The centre

This 50 place service is located in the Eastern Suburbs and is not for profit and community based operating under long day care hours.

The Role

Your role will be as the Centre Manager of this beautiful childcare centre and you will develop amazing relationships with the families, lead the team of educators and build a fantastic learning environment for the children.

The service is looking for a Centre Manager with new ideas and inspiration to move the centre forward and make improvements based around technology, communication with families and set goals for the future.

The key responsibilities will be to:

  • Generate interest within the community and boost occupancy
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all staff to help them progress within the role and the service
  • Build solid relationships with the staff and the families
  • Communicate effectively with families and keep them update via various methods and introducing new innovative ways to do this
  • Recruit, induct and support new team members
  • Manage the budgets of the centre
  • Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at a high level at all times

About you

To be eligible for this position you must have:

  • A Diploma in Children’s services or a Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (ACECQA assessed equivalent)
  • Experience as a Centre Manager
  • Ambition and drive to lead the service to improve and grow
  • Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) and Rating and Assessment process
  • Great communication, leadership and management skills
