The Opportunity

The Senior Project Officer (Education) provides a range of high-level project coordination and services to support the end-to-end delivery of projects in the Victorian Heart Institute Education portfolio. The Senior Project Officer (Education) is a key liaison point between the project team, wider portfolio, university and internal and external client groups, and works closely with these groups to ensure the timely delivery of project deliverables. The position assists the Victorian Heart Institute Director and Science Strategy and Operations Manager by developing project documentation, updates and reports and undertakes a variety of complex administrative duties to support project objectives.

This will include:
  • Undertake a range of high-level project coordination duties including working with stakeholders to scope and plan project deliverables, and planning and implementing change management strategies
  • Act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert in relation to project progress and objectives
  • Prepare position papers, briefings, reports and presentations for a range of audiences
In addition to the relevant qualifications and experience outlined in the key selection criteria, you will have high level project management skills with a track record of successfully coordinating and supporting projects through to completion. Superior relationship management skills, and an understanding of the requirements and market opportunities for cardiovascular education and training opportunities, both locally and globally, are also key requirements for the successful candidate for this role.
