Full-time, 3 years Fixed Term Contract in Teaching Innovation Unit at the City West campus
Salary $147,000 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

The Associate Director: Teaching Innovation Unit (TIU) plays a strong role in overseeing the Academic Developer and Online Educational Designer teams responsible for supporting staff across Academic Units in their endeavours to drive enhancements across the University’s curriculum.

A key aspect of this role is the provision of support and advice to the Director: TIU, the Academic Unit Dean of Programs and the Associate Dean: UniSA Online to achieve priorities that strengthen program based teaching and learning practice.

Core Responsibilities

Provide strategic advice to academic staff across the University to support the University’s teaching and learning ambitions as detailed in the University’s Enterprise25 strategic plan and the Academic Enterprise Plan 2021-2025
Provide expertise and leadership for the academic development team, ensuring staff receive appropriate and timely support in curriculum design, assessment, evaluation, technology enhanced learning, and the academic literacies and integrity
Provide support and advice in online learning practice, ensuring high quality external course offerings through UniSA Online
Provide high level advice and direction to the Director: TIU and Provost & Chief Academic Officer on academic policy issues and developments
In collaboration with staff in the TIU, develop, promote and evaluate teaching practices and foster a sustainable culture of innovation in teaching and learning

Essential Skills and Experience

A doctoral qualification and demonstrated academic leadership
Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and developing and adopting innovative learning technologies to enhance student learning
Highly developed people leadership and management skills, with a team orientation and ability to work collaboratively to achieve teaching and learning strategic outcomes
Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically, with a commitment to planning and delivering continuous improvement programs to enhance teaching and learning
Demonstrated experience with managing and supporting organisational change within a university environment.
