Lecturer in Accounting

Full time, ongoing position
Based in Launceston
Delivery of teaching activity

The Opportunity

With a teaching emphasis and delivery of teaching activity across campuses, this position also contributes to the School’s research performance and makes a service/engagement contribution proportionate to the level of academic appointment.

Key Accountabilities:
Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
Undertake scholarly undergraduate and postgraduate coursework teaching of an exemplary quality.
Undertake high-quality research of national and increasingly of international standing.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry, and/or wider community.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

A PhD in Accounting or a relevant field.
Experience and demonstrated achievement in contemporary and innovative University-level teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in an array of modes.
A good record in and continuing commitment to research that has achieved national and preferably international recognition and made notable contributions to the field of Accounting
A team player with proven ability to be agile in response to change, and to make decisions and take responsibility for activities within the role.
Designation within a professional association (e.g. CPA, CAANZ)

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $133,842 comprising base salary within the range of $98,537 to $114,395 plus 17% superannuation.
