About KU

KU is a leading not for profit provider of nearly 140 early childhood education and care services in NSW, VIC, the ACT and QLD. Established in 1895, KU is one of Australia's most experienced and respected providers of long day care, preschool, outside school hours care, occasional care, family programs and early intervention services. KU also operates brokered programs on behalf of the Commonwealth Government and provides professional services to the early childhood sector and the wider community.

We are looking for casual Child Care Educators, Advanced Child Care Educators and Early Childhood Teachers to join our services across Illawarra & Southern Highlands. These casual oppotunties will see you work alongside highly motivated and skilled educators who value working in the early childhood sector.

About you

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

We are looking for educators looking to travel to the following areas:

  • KU Mossvale
  • KU Donkin
  • KU Bulli
  • KU Corrimal East
  • KU Gwynneville
  • KU Wombarra
  • KU Figtree
In addition, you will have:
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • Recognised Certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor in Children's Services or equivalent as approved by ACECQA
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis Certificates (Diploma and Teacher Qualified)
  • Training demonstration current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
