Remuneration: $75,568 - $108,265 + 9.5% super (dependent on skills and experience, the successful applicants will be required to complete a teaching declaration process to determine salary level)

About the role

You will join the college on a 12-month contract as an Arts Teacher within our Diploma program and will specialise in Media and /or International Studies (expertise in both would be an advantage). You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning to our international students (classes/tutorials of up to 25 students). Diplomas classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm.

You will be teaching topics such as understanding of the different media forms and their history; the impact of new media and technological platforms; the role and impact of communication technologies on media consumers and producers; the key political, economic and social developments affecting the world’s main powers today; challenges of globalisation.

Your role will involve:
Flexible teaching practices including blended learning models of delivery, online delivery using Zoom and other online collaborative platforms and best use of technology in the classroom.
Development and contribution to improvements in curriculum and assessment.
Active participation in assessment, exam marking and moderation.
Use of learning analytics to better improve student learning outcomes.
Participate in professional learning activities focusing on continued development in learning and teaching

About you

We are seeking applicants who are able to bring a student focused and interactive teaching approach, along with the ability to utilise effective technology in achieving student learning outcomes. The successful applicant will be adaptable and quality orientated, with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. As a Teacher at Monash College, you will play an integral role in providing our students with an enriching educational experience.

What you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification. Qualification in teaching/Education is highly desirable.
Previous experience teaching at a tertiary level.
Experience in a relevant industry and knowledge of current methods, practices and developments.
The ability to adapt teaching practices to suit group and individual learning needs, including working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Experience using innovative approaches to teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment.
Experience with blended learning models of delivery, online delivery using Zoom and other online platforms with best use of technology in the classroom.

Further Information

Salary - $75,568 - $108,265 + 9.5% super (dependent on skills and experience, the successful applicants will be required to complete a teaching declaration process to determine salary level).
Location - The role is based at one of our City campus (Caulfield/Collins Street), and may require occasional travel between campuses.
