Saint Ignatius' College Adelaide is a leading Catholic coeducational, day school conducted by the Jesuits and inspired by the Ignatian charism. The College caters for more than 1,400 students across an early years (3–5 year olds), Junior School (R–6), and a Senior School (7–12).

Following an extensive review and after considerable consultation with the College community, Saint Ignatius’ College, Senior School, will introduce a new pastoral care structure for students in Years 7 to 12 in 2022. The structure will be House-based with horizontal grouping in Years 7, 8, and 9 (middle years), and vertical grouping in Years 10, 11, and 12 (senior years). Each House in the middle years and senior years will be composed of 110–120 students in six House Mentor Groups.

As a consequence, the College is seeking to appoint POR 2 positions with suitable time release in the following areas:
• Four Senior Years House Leaders
• Four Middle Years House Leaders
In addition, the College also seeks to appoint a:
• Pastoral Care Coordinator

The Pastoral Care Coordinator will work with and support the eight House Leaders and, through them, the House Mentors, in their work.
This position is graded as POR 3 with suitable release time and ESO support to assist with the functions of the Middle Years and Senior Years House Leaders.
The College anticipates appointing internal and external applicants to these roles and encourages any suitably qualified teacher with a passion for the pastoral care of students to apply.
The successful applicants will have high levels of communication with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and community.
