POSITION VACANT

FRENCH - 0.7 Temporary

The teacher of French must be an enthusiastic, talented professional to bring innovation and creativity to their learning areas with experience of teaching stage 4. The role is 0.7 temporary position commencing Term 2, Week 6, 2021.

Position criteria: The successful applicant will:
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life.
Have experience teaching Junior courses
See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning;
Work collaboratively with the Leader of Learning KLA and peers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding;
Lead the development of social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student;
Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning;
Lead and use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students;
Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:
inquiry-based learning (including pbL);
creativity and critical thinking;
responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;
Know and apply NESA and Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements
Have demonstrated the understanding and application of the whole school policies and procedures concerning including Codes of Conduct, WHS and student wellbeing..

The Organisation

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
