JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity exists to shape the future of vocational and applied learning in senior secondary schools in Victoria. We are seeking high-performing candidates to fill positions in the newly formed Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce, which was established to lead the government's response to the 2020 Review into Vocational and Applied Learning Pathways in Senior Secondary Schooling.

The successful applicants will have a chance to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and contribute to a project that that will make a tangible difference to the senior secondary system in our state.

There are seven VPS5 Senior Policy Officer roles available across the Taskforce. Five of these roles are in the Planning, design, and oversight division, one is in Engagement and the final role is in Delivery. These roles will have responsibility for a range of Taskforce activities including: supporting policy design and implementation, project management and reporting, stakeholder consultation and analysis, conducting research and data analysis, preparation of budget bids and building and managing relationships with program delivery areas across the Department and the VCAA.

Successful applicants will be flexible, resilient, and motivated to contribute to these significant reforms which will make a tangible difference to current and future teachers and students in our state. Prior experience in the education and training sector, particularly in the area of vocational and applied learning, is highly desirable.
