Your new role
We have a unique opportunity for an engaging professional to join the University Advancement Team as a Gift Services Coordinator, and manage all transactional and financial activities for donations, research and trusts, foundation grants and industry sponsorships.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to join a passionate and growing team of Advancement professionals.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a variety of teams across the University including financial services, scholarships, faculty and external stakeholders whilst ensuring a high-level of compliance with relevant policies and legislation in relation to the management and processing of donations.

In this role you will…

Manage the transactional activities and process for receiving and processing donations in Xetta and the Raisers Edge CRM while maintaining data integrity.
Prepare financial reports and associated documents for the relevant Committees and information requests for management as required.
Work closely with Advancement executives and the Stewardship Coordinator to ensure appropriate gift acknowledgement procedures and pledge reminders are sent within a timely manner.
In consultation with Financial Services, ensure that University policies and procedures, legislation and statutes are complied with for financial and taxation purposes relating to donations, research grants, bequests and sponsorship.
Work closely and collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, including the scholarships office and faculties, to ensure the proper management and oversight of privately supported scholarships, student awards, research projects and other university programs.
Liaise with faculty and area contacts to coordinate the disbursement of funding, ensuring funding is utilised in line with the donor’s intention and assisting in the preparation of acquittal reporting.
Resolve operational problems and facilitate the development and implementation of initiatives, processes and system to improve efficiency.

We are looking for someone with…

Degree qualified with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, concepts and practices as well as financial reporting requirements.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, displaying flexibility, initiative and decisiveness.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop key relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
The ability to analyse and interpret information and apply problem solving skills.
Excellent attention to details with ability to draft clear, concise and professional documentation.
