We are recruiting for a cert 3 trained educator to be our preschool room 3-5 year group. We are a Private Centre who look after our staff. We care for children aged between 0-6 years. We are open from 7am - 6pm, 50 weeks of the year. We are a 58 place service.

The position is part time Monday-Friday. the shifts will be a combination of early and lates 7.5 hours a day.

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

· Developing and implementing the educational program for the room

· Helping the ECT and MUST be a team player

· Using a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc)

· Help to design and follow a routine

· Maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment

· Ensuring the centre is a safe area for children, staff and visitors

· Creating excellent relationships with children, families, carers and other team members

· Writing observations and planning follow-ups

· Parent correspondence

Skills and experience

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

· Desire to work with children and demonstrated capacity to enhance their experiences

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· A relevant cert 3 Education and Care qualification

· Proven willingness to learn and improve

· Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high quality care

· Current Working with Children check

· Any experience in a relevant role is preferred
