We are seeking to appoint a Diploma (or equivalent as per ACECQA) Educator (Children’s Services Employee) at two of our Gold Coast Services:

• St Brigid's OSHC - Nerang (Large Service)
• St Kevin's OSHC - Benowa (Large Service)

At Catholic Early EdCare we provide before school care, after school care and vacation care to children. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting primary school aged children to grow and develop and are committed to seeing them learn and have fun in a happy and safe environment.

Hours: Casual (varied)
Remuneration: as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010. Level 1.1 to Level 3.4 depending on qualifications and experience - $30.3619 to $32.5066.

• Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
• Participate in professional and personal development.
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.

Job Requirements:

• An ACECQA approved school age qualification. A range of study areas may be recognised including: behavioural science, community services, creative arts, education, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sports and recreation, and human welfare studies.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Knowledge and understanding of the child care industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
