Launceston Christian School (TAS) is a co-educational independent K-12 Christian School which aims to provide a caring and stimulating environment for learning. The school is distinctively Christ centred and is committed to providing effective spiritual, emotional, physical and academic support for all its students.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and committed Christian teaching professionals for the position of Education Support Unit Coordinator (1.0 FTE).

The Education Support Unit (ESU) consists of the coordinator, resources teachers (1.0 FTE), Life Skills teacher (0.5 FTE), Supported study teacher (0.6 FTE) and 16 teacher aides at various FTE. The unit works with staff to oversee and support the educational programs of over 84 students throughout the K-12 school.

In bringing a Christian perspective to bear in all aspects of his/her work, the ESU Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ESU including staffing, timetabling, student programs, internal and external student assessments, funding, budgets and associated government requirements.

As a Registered Teacher and Senior Staff member, the ESU Coordinator works with other Coordinators and the Leadership Team to help implement school-wide goals and policies.

Applicants will need to be:
Practicing Christians, actively involved in their local church and able to subscribe to the School’s Mission Statement and Educational Creed
Registered with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board
Registered with a current Working With Vulnerable People (Employment) Card

12 Month Maternity Leave Replacement Contract commencing 7th June 2021
