Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation)

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) is a member of the University's Senior Executive and has responsibility for enhancing the University's performance and reputation in research, research training, and research collaboration with external stakeholders, nationally and internationally. This includes the strategic management of research at an institutional level; development of research policy; management of research strategic initiatives, and development of research collaborations in Australia and overseas. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) also interacts closely with Executive Deans and Institute Directors who have operational responsibility for research development within the University's Faculties and Institutes respectively, and chairs the University Research Committee, a committee of the Academic Board that promotes and supports research and research training within the University.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) is supported by the staff in the UQ Research and Innovation portfolio. Units within the portfolio have responsibility to support the University's research community through strategic engagement with external stakeholders, funding organisations and research partners; international collaborations; grants management; research performance data management; research higher degree management; and research ethics and integrity.

About This Opportunity

As the Change and Training Coordinator, you will ensure the effective use and update of services and systems delivered through the Research Management Business Transformation program through:

Development of high quality training resources including tip sheets and user guides
Alignment of training schedules with project and change management workflows
Design of stakeholder and system end-user workshops
Facilitation of training and information sessions
Coordination of media development for communications
Staying informed and employing emerging learning trends in the digital/media industry
Leveraging your strategic and critical thinking to articulate how the program training support can scale and evolve into the future

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

As out ideal candidate, you will have a deep understanding of the higher education sector, in particular university-based research management and relevant experience in developing, coordinating and implementing training to support a change management approach. You will have a high level of digital literacy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to understand and communicate complex ideas and workflows to a wide audience.

You will be able to work autonomously, while fostering and contributing to a strong culture of collaboration within the RMBT Team.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time fixed term position at HEW level 7.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,763 - $96,768, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $103,852 - $113,236.
