About the organisation

Brisbane Catholic Education is a learning community of over 145 schools. We aim to provide quality teaching and learning outcomes for Prep to Year 12 students.

About the opportunity

In this role you will lead and support teachers to effectively implement the Technologies curricular P-10 (Australian Curriculum) and 11-12 (QCAA) and embed the ICT general capability across the curriculum. You will play an instrumental role in ensuring planning, teaching, assessing and reporting for Technologies is aligned to approved curricular and is supported by contemporary research.

Responsibilities
Work collaboratively to support teachers and school leadership teams to implement the Technologies curricular and effective pedagogies in classroom learning and teaching.
Maintain knowledge and provide advice about the Technologies curricular.
Work collaboratively to monitor, analyse, advise and share knowledge about trends and developments and related impacts in learning and teaching across the Technologies learning area.

Qualifications & Registrations
current registration in QCT,
relevant post-graduate qualifications; and
a current driver’s licence.

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate your experience and sound understanding of:
the Technologies curricular (P-10 Australian Curriculum & 11-12 QCAA syllabuses) and the implementation of effective and contemporary pedagogies for classroom practice;
strategies to engage and accelerate learning for every student;
collaborative ways of working to support responsive planning in schools; and
collaborative practices working alongside other role holders to embed the ICT General Capability within and across curriculum areas.
