About Hudson

Hudson is proud to be representing a dynamic organisation, due to growth in their business they are looking for a L and D trainer. you will be part of a team of professionals, working collaboratively to address the training needs of their network. Reporting directly to the HR manager with a specific focus on training the trainers who deliver their in-house training.

Responsibilities

Engage, mentor, develop and support a team of trainers across the network
Design and deliver engaging, contextualised, and memorable train the trainer professional development programs to educate and support trainers, who have responsibility for engaging and developing a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
Become an expert user of our learning management system, and provide support to all trainers to ensure that they effectively use and manage the system to schedule, coordinate and promote all our learning programs, and maintain accurate training records,
Working closely with the Learning and Development Specialist ensure that the content of mandatory training and professional development programs are relevant, utilise blended and adult learning approaches, and o exceed industry training requirements and standards.
Regularly review and report on trainers and Key Player training to identify and address areas of non-compliance.
Work with managers and trainers to solve specific staff skills related performance issues with targeted training programs.
Collaborate with National Office Subject Matter Experts to ensure specific training content is kept current and reflective of current policies and procedures.

About you

At least 3 years' experience as a trainer, within in the health or aged care sector.
Minimum qualifications: Nursing, Allied Health, Aged Care or Disability Qualifications and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Demonstrate energy and passion about engaging and supporting others to learn and improve the way they work.
Enjoy supporting and coaching others and have knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles.
Experience in development, implementation and evaluation of VET training programs desirable
Able to contextualise learning resources and adapt training to learner needs.
Demonstrated competence in facilitating group and individual learning.
Confident and articulate communication skills and ability to build rapport with learners.
Well organised, with demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise workload, follow up and work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
Well-developed computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point and Learning Management Systems; including the capacity to learn new systems.
Australian driver's license, good driving record, ability to travel within the state to deliver training based on the needs of the region and travel interstate as required.
