The Future Students Directorate forms part of the External Engagement Portfolio, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) and is responsible for the University’s engagement activities. The Portfolio brings together various business units from across the University, including UQ Press, UQ Art Museum, Indigenous Engagement, Advancement, Global Engagement & Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Communication and Future Students.

About This Opportunity

We are currently searching for a Student Recruitment Coordinator to join our team based in St Lucia. Working as part of a small team, you will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of our student recruitment and conversion plan for our undergraduate cohorts. You will be a key link between the future student’s market and the University and will facilitate sharing of critical information and intelligence to position UQ as the first choice in student enrolment activities.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment - you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate previous experience in developing and implementing recruitment initiatives, with experience working in the tertiary education sector highly regarded. You will possess outstanding communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills coupled with an ability to management projects in a timely manner.

You will have a strong understanding of the higher education sector and relevant pathways to higher education. Successful candidates must hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card and a current, unrestricted drivers licence.

The availability to travel interstate to attend events or conferences is required.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term position at HEW level 6.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $80,784 - $86,768, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $94,517 - $101,519.
