Gippsland’s local TAFE is currently recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated industry expert to join our Agriculture teaching team to deliver AgVet chemical units of competency AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemical to control pest, weeds & diseases (previously AHCCHM303 ) & AHCCHM304 Transport & store chemicals.

About the role:
The role of the Casual Teacher AgVet Chemicals covers a variety of responsibilities and activities within the sector, including:

Classroom based teaching;
Teaching via video conferencing;
Practical skills training in simulated workplace environments;
Engaging with students and their employers in the workplace;
Supporting students and employers with their workforce and career development needs;
Showcasing careers andassociated education pathways to community, schools and industry.

Mandatory requirements:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or equivalent);

Accreditation to deliver Agvet chemical units of competency:
AHCCHM307 — Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases (previously AHCCHM303 )
AHCCHM304 — Transport and store chemicals.
Hold a current AusChem Trainer Registration
Relevant industry experience.
Minimum 5 years training experience in AgVet Chemicals
Minimum 10 years AgVet Chemical user industry experience and currency
Current Victorian Working with Children Check
Current Police check (no older than 12 months)
Current Driver’s Licence

Highly Desirable:
Hold a current Agricultural chemical user permit
Hold the 22516VIC — Course in Minimising Risks in the Use of 1080 and PAPP Bait Products for Vertebrate Pest Control (or previous equivalents 22275VIC or 21835VIC)
Currently registered / endorsed trainer for 22516VIC — Course in Minimising Risks in the Use of 1080 andPAPP Bait Products for Vertebrate Pest Control (or previous equivalents 22275VIC or 21835VIC)
Hold Certificate IV of Agriculture or related studies such as Agribusiness, Agronomy or Animal Nutrition.
