The Opportunity
The Centre for Global Business is a multidisciplinary research centre at the Monash Business School and they aim to become a leading research hub on the challenges, practices and potential for business in the global context. The Centre is currently recruiting for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join their team. Assisting Chief Investigator Professor Paresh Kumar Narayan, you will be completing research projects leading to joint authorship of Research Papers, conducting workshops, assisting in journal editorial works, and other administrative matters such as setting up a new Research Centre.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Conduct of research either as a member of a team or independently and the production of conference and seminar papers and publications from that research
Guidance in the research effort of junior members of research-only Academic staff in their research area
Involvement in professional activities including, subject to availability of funds, attendance at conferences and seminars in the field of expertise
Administrative functions primarily connected with their area of research, including assistance in setting up a research centre
Journal editorial related works, conducting workshops, and organising conferences
The preferred applicant will have a Doctoral Qualification in Finance/Economics, evidence of independent research demonstrated by single authored A*/Q1 Journal publication(s), experience in conducting workshops and organising conferences, and some editing experience with academic journals.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
