Full Job Description
Location: Manuka, Canberra
Employment Type: Full-time (first contract term 3 years)
Salary Range: Grade 6 ($112,107 - $123,314 + Superannuation)
Start Date: Negotiable
Closing Date: 11.55pm, Monday 29 March 2021

Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres.

About the Role

This position will provide coaching, modelling and support to teachers, school leadership teams and students families to ensure these groups are competent in the implementation of support strategies and aware of their responsibilities on how to effectively implement the individual plans.

About you

We are seeking dynamic, professional and a well-organised applicant, who is able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You’ll have experience in assessing student needs and building partnerships with schools to implement a effective strategies, whilst adhering to relevant legislation and associated guidelines.

Essential Criteria

Sound understanding of relevant legislation and system documents, including the Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards for Education, National Disability Strategy and National Safe School Framework.
Sound understanding of how to devise, implement and evaluate systems for identifying, assessing, reviewing and responding to whole school needs in a school settings.
Experience in developing and delivering training and support to staff in positive behaviour support.
Experience in the co-ordination of wellbeing and inclusion services.
Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions based on the analysis, understanding and interpretation of relevant data and information.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or similar areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
