The College of Vocational Education empowers learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work. Within the College sits the Learning and Teaching Innovation and Quality team which is a centralised learning and teaching function which manages quality, compliance and innovation to support our College of VE industry clusters to deliver high quality, industry leading student experiences.

The Practitioner Development team build professional and vocational workforce capability for vocational educators to meet both industry standards and enhance innovation in learning and teaching. They are responsible for the development of opportunities for the teaching community to enhance skills and experience across learning pedagogy, Vocational currency and competency and industry currency.

About the role:

The VE Senior Services Officer sits within the Practitioner Development team and works across all teams in Vocational Education. Its purpose is to develop practitioner skills using innovative delivery of learning, digital literacy and providing practical industry connections which will enhance the student experience. The role will provide both advisory and coaching services to educators and educational leaders, to ultimately enhance the learner experience in VE.

The VE Senior Services Officer will be deployed as required across various College functions, providing the candidate with a breadth of experience and exposure to subject matter expertise.

This role is responsible for leading high-quality administrative support across College teams which include Planning & Resources, Learning & Teaching Innovation and Quality, Partnerships, and supporting education delivery. The role will also coordinate project activities, events and provide administrative and project advice and expertise across the College.

To be successful, you will have:
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including demonstrated experience developing and delivering complex written reports to a high standard and with a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience in providing high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders and in managing complex queries in a fast-paced, large scale environment.
  • Proven administrative experience in planning, organising and prioritising work in a busy environment with multiple and conflicting priorities and competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, recommending and implementing changes and improvements to administrative procedures and functions.

Relevant customer service and administration experience.
