About the Employee Services team

The People and Culture – Employee Services team, provide first level HR support, Talent Advice and manage HR systems and processes. As part of our team you will support and coach business partners on industry trends and provide advice to support University’s strategic people plans.

About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will provide recruitment support and solutions to enable the selection and engagement of the most capable staff for a wide range of academic and general staff roles to support the operational and strategic needs of Notre Dame, ensuring proactive, customer focused, capability based talent services, contemporary sourcing solutions and strategies and advice.

You will:

  • Provide end to end talent resourcing and recruitment services to the University by providing advice and support to Managers on recruitment options and undertake recruitment processes and activities to ensure the engagement of the best candidate for the role
  • Act as a subject matter expert by providing guidance and direction to the business on best practice recruitment and workforce resourcing initiatives including devising contemporary strategies.
  • Coordinate the ongoing management of talent pools
  • Ensure delivery of a high quality and consistent operational advisory service about a wide range of workforce and employment matters to all levels of the organisation.
  • Promote expert advice to and build strong relationships with all groups, to promote People and Culture as an intrinsic part of how UNDA operates.
  • Work closely with People and Culture colleagues to embed UNDA Objects and culture.

Your Capabilities

  • Relevant experience in recruitment, talent services; or equivalent experience in a human resource position in a complex organisation.
  • Well-developed knowledge of contemporary recruitment applications including policies and procedures.
  • Strong talent engagement skills and a successful track record in providing trusted coaching and support to Managers and Leaders.
  • Strong customer service, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
