Teacher 3.1 to 5.2, $81,429 - $103,253 per annum plus 9.5% employer superannuation contribution. This is a part time (0.8 FTE) fixed term contract until 28 February 2022.

About the Role
The Teacher Library is responsible for facilitating learning and establishing educational and assessment strategies to suit a range of student and client needs. Training will be delivered through a variety of modes such as online, blended, and in diverse settings such as industry or community. The Teacher, Library will be required to ensure compliance with relevant ASQA, VRQA and HESG service agreement, and to maintain a positive learning environment.
About the Person
You will be experienced within the library services field and will have industry currency directly relevant to this teaching and assessment role. Your experience in facilitating learning and assessments across a variety of settings in contemporary VET practices will place you in a good position to succeed in this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be a hallmark of your approach to teaching. You will hold an approved degree, diploma or certificate relevant to the Library field, as well as a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (or TAE40110 including the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A), and Assessment (TAEASS502/A/B) units). You must also ensure you maintain a valid E (Employee) class Working With Children Check card or VIT registration. A postgraduate vocational education and teaching qualification including supervised teaching practice and studies in teaching methodology or similar is highly desirable.
Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Facilitate learning and assessment in a variety of settings
- Facilitate successful student learning for Certificate IV and Diploma of Library and Information Services courses
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of course
