About the role

We are currently seeking applications for a Manager Education – West Hub & Program Integration and Marketing Lead position, to oversee the development and delivery of client-centred, integrated and financially sustainable education and training programs and services within AMES’ West Hub.

If successful, you will provide expert advice and lead “Program Integration and Marketing” (specialist area) across the Education Portfolio, and contribute to business expansion of education services.

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of teachers, trainers, and administrative staff within the West Hub, and will have an emphasis to implement change management to achieve streamlined operations, quality services and financial viability.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Degree or Diploma in Education, Business, Management or related field; AND
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with CALD and other clients to build settlement, employment and/or education readiness; including some experience in providing leadership to and managing a team of teachers and education support staff

  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee) is mandatory
  • A current valid Driver’s Licence for Victoria is mandatory
  • Access to own vehicle with comprehensive insurance for work purposes
  • Demonstrated understanding of program integration and marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a team of teachers and provide leadership and management of effective program development and delivery
  • Demonstrated strong Business Development skills in maintaining and growing current business levels according to negotiated growth targets
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently plan, schedule and deliver education programs to CALD and other clients within budget constraints to meet KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff including performance reviews and quality checks and demonstrated capacity to provide leadership mentoring and support
  • Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements - in regard to quality assurance, compliance, recording and reporting - relevant to Education Programs
  • Understanding of the principles of language pedagogy, adult learning and the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant accredited curricula, and the ability to lead the development of contextualised learning programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant communities, programs and services, and their connections.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and provide individual progressive pathway counselling to assist clients to detail steps in educational and training pathways, including recognition of overseas qualifications
  • Ability to lead colleagues in the use and value of an extensive range of teaching strategies and resources, including ICT, to optimize learning outcomes
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is desirable
