We take a holistic approach to childcare and kindergarten at Only About Children Cheltenham. We provide high quality early learning, through innovative programs, with a focus on health, wellbeing and early years education. Through this integrated approach, we believe every child is given the best opportunity to reach their full potential. 

Our gorgeous purpose-built Campus is located at 15 Herald Street, Cheltenham. Made up of two buildings, crafted and designed by a Melbourne-based boutique architecture and design consultancy, we are nestled into quiet streets with local native flora and fauna surrounding us. We are right next door to Cheltenham East Primary School and a short walk to Le Page Primary School. With dedicated onsite car parking, including disability access, families can be confident of a smooth and safe drop off and pick up every visit. 


We are currently seeking an experienced ECT to join the team at our Cheltenham campus. This role will see you inspiring the programs in our Kindergarten Room & supporting a team of highly experienced educators.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementing the educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development
  • Maintaining ongoing records of the children's development, program and daily information
  • Assisting with daily room tasks - e.g. activity preparation and meal times
  • Assuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Government Regulations
  • Guiding team members with their professional development, individual goals and performance.

How You Support Us

We understand that educating young children is complex and requires ongoing qualifications and professional development. We ensure all our team members are appropriately skilled and qualified to develop and educate young minds. For this position, we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent approved teaching qualifications 
  • 2 or more years of experience in a lead teacher position
  • VIT registered 
  • Ability to plan and implement the Oac Grow curriculum 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
