JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to attract a Wellbeing for Learning Senior Leader B-12:


· An expert teacher and effective coach

In your role as Wellbeing for Learning Senior Leader B-12:


• Provide leadership to the school's quality accountability and improvement model through the analysis of regular collection of data sets to investigate evidence of impact to ensure young people are engaged and successful at school.

• Facilitates a culture of continuous learning and improvement through support, mentoring and coaching to ensure pedagogical practices are relevant, engaging and inclusive.

• Provide leadership of an effective Wellbeing for Learning Framework as well as an effective case management approach for students to ensure that all students are supported in their learning, engaged and successful at school. Plans that document learning goals, learning needs and personal circumstances are implemented, reviewed and evaluated.

• Establish and implement highly effective wellbeing support and programs through connections with the department and outside agencies, to support the holistic wellbeing of all staff.

• Shapes and leads the strategic directions of the Wellbeing Team that are effective, well planned, effectively communicated and structured to ensure student wellbeing, retention and achievement within the context of a large B - 12 college. Positive culture and climate for learning is evident within the Wellbeing Team across whole school.

• Embed policies, practices, procedures and programs have been implemented within the Student Wellbeing team of schooling which ensure continuous improvement in engagement, retention and achievement which are consistent with the other sectors of schooling.

• Improved student attendance, engagement, retention and achievement is reflected in whole school data (student wellbeing outcomes are documented, implemented and continuously evaluated for their effectiveness) and informs school improvement planning.

• Collaboration among key school leaders to ensure high quality and age appropriate wellbeing learning experience programs are designed and delivered B-12, and to ensure data driven early interventions for all students.

• Develop and implement positive wellbeing frameworks and strategies to support staff wellbeing.

• Embed a culture of continuous improvement through a rigorous whole school performance development process that encourages all teachers to know their practice and impact in the classroom


To be successful in the role of Wellbeing for Learning Senior Leader B-12, you will have:


• Demonstrated success in utilising data to initiate and lead change to achieve improved student learning outcomes.

• Demonstrated success in leading whole school student wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with others to improve learning outcomes for all students.

• Demonstrated knowledge of high quality, evidence based, inclusive teaching and learning practices which support intellectual challenge for all learners.

• Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment; and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation

• Demonstrated ability to effectively support and coach other leaders and teachers to evaluate and improve on their practice.

• Demonstrated high level communication skills and an ability in establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders
