About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Community Services, you will provide administrative management, commercial development and overall leadership to the training and higher education operations for ALPA with a focus on high quality service delivery to participants.

This position is based in Darwin


Operationalise the ALPA Board’s strategy for education and training delivery
Oversee internal audit and quality management within ALPA’s Registered Training Organisation
Develop and deliver additional accredited and non-accredited streams through direct delivery or partnerships
Lead grant applications and internal funding requests together with viable business plans
Develop and manage the Education and Training Department budget
Nurture relationships across the higher education, training and Indigenous Corporations space
Work closely with the Community Services and Retail management team to deliver services to participants

Skills and Experience

Significant experience working in a management role in a Registered Training Organisation
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels
Experience in managing and acquitting government training contracts, grants and fee for service programs
Project budget and personnel management experience
Diploma or higher qualification in Adult Education - desirable
Experience in designing and developing learning and assessment resources in an e-learning environment - desirable
