Full Job Description
Continuing, full time appointment
Academic Level A, $66,864 to $100,312 per annum
Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave
Casuarina Campus, Darwin

As a VET Lecturer/Workplace Assessor - Remote, VET in Schools and Fabrication you are responsible for the development and delivery of training whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the VET Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Resource and Infrastructure Training Package.

This is a unique role, which may involve urban delivery of training, however has focus that may require remote delivery involving travel to remote Indigenous. The nature of this position will suit an individual comfortable with working autonomously and the ability to apply flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner will be critical for this position.

To be successful you must possess a trade qualification in Heavy Metal Fabrication (Boilermaker) / Light Fabrication (Sheet Metal) / a Resource and Infrastructure and relevant industry experience equivalent. A qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or the willingness to obtain is a requirement of this position.

Crucial to this role is your passion for construction, your engaging presentation style, and your enthusiasm and personal motivation to train and inspire students to succeed.
