About The Opportunity

An Education Solutions Developer plays a key role within the Division of Academic & Student Life, Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience (PVCESE) portfolio by providing leadership and strategic thinking in the delivery of creative, innovative, technical and accessibility-related educational offerings. The role entails facilitating and supporting strategic education innovation projects, and designing and developing quality online learning activities, modules, programs and courses. The Educational Solutions Developer will work in collaboration with academic staff and various university units to achieve learning and teaching strategies of the PVCESE and UNSW.

About The Successful Candidate
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced
  • Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify avenues to innovate the improvement of learning and teaching, influence senior management and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
  • Proven experience in successful delivery of large, complex educational development projects to deadline and within budget with a capacity to comply with Government legislation and UNSW policies, guidelines & procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, facilitating and reviewing courses, programs, activities and services to build institutional capacity and individual capability for technology enabled learning and teaching in a tertiary environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of educational technologies including web-based learning management systems eg Moodle; H5P, to facilitate learning
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, positively and independently in multidisciplinary teams with the capacity to take responsibility, exercise independent judgement and proactively address and resolve complex problems as they arise in a “client-customer” focussed environment often with rigid constraints
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and the development, implementation and review of curriculum, with experience working in an academic learning and teaching environment, or equivalent
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
