Multicultural Australia’s cultural diversity training services aim to share the our cultural capability expertise with all sectors, and equip public, private, community, tertiary and media organisations with the capabilities and knowledge to approach their staff, clients and services in a culturally competent manner. We aim to deliver impactful and immersive training programs and services that contribute to broadening perceptions, attitudes and behaviours of individuals and organisations to change the conversation about multiculturalism and create culturally diverse, welcoming and inclusive workplaces and communities.

What you can expect from this role:

  1. Manage Multicultural Australia’s cultural diversity training programs, services, and contracts.
  2. Proactively engage with all sectors to market and promote training services.
  3. Grow cultural diversity training services and programs into a successful revenue stream/ business that is impactful and achieves its performance measures.
  4. Lead and manage a group of diverse trainers with lived experiences and training skills in the provision of a high quality, responsive and adaptable cultural diversity training services that may be delivered in a variety of formats including, online and face-face.
  5. Plan, coordinate and deliver all training services and programs, including enrolment and assessment processes.
  6. Develop and implement training and assessment strategies.
  7. Establish and maintain effective and productive working relations and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders that help to grow training services and programs.
  8. Manage and maintain excellence in training performance.

You must have:

  1. Possession of tertiary qualifications in education, training or equivalent and at least 5 years relevant experience in training and education service delivery
  2. Valid Queensland Driver’s License.
  3. Possession of, or willingness and eligibility to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Suitability Card in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000).
  4. Police Clearance Check

Essential Skills/Experience:

  1. Demonstrated cultural competence including the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of a range of cross-cultural needs and demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment.
  2. Excellent communication, negotiation, training, and facilitation skills in both large and small group settings, including the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes;
  3. Experience in securing training contracts and new business that leads to growth and positive returns on investment;
  4. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a high-performing team that requires flexibility to reach goals and performance targets.
  5. Ability to design, implement and assess a suite of training products and programs that deliver on the vision and purpose of Multicultural Australia’s training services; and
  6. Ability to travel regionally and interstate as required. 

Prior experience in the multicultural sector would be an advantage.
