Explore & Develop Dee Why is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Director to join our beautiful early learning service located at Dee Why. We are seeking candidates for this permanent role to assist managing the service who can start ASAP. 

The Position

Working closely with our Director, Educational Leader and our team, you will;

  • Be responsible and accountable for the services budgets.
  • Ensure that the service always demonstrates exceeding levels of practice complying with the NQF, Education and Care Service National Regulation/Law and service policies at all times.
  • Build a positive culture in line with Explore & Develop core visions and values.
  • Review key performance indicators for the team each quarter.
  • Manage enquiries, service tours and new enrolments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team, families, and community services.
  • Develop and apply rosters that show a continuity of care.
  • Support Director through team meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Attend Director meetings each quarter with other Explore & Develop services.
  • Advocating for the rights of every child and coordinating the implementation and evaluation of quality programs, which support the development of all children.

To be considered, you will have:

  • A completed Bachelor of Education (or working towards).
  • Prior experience working in a long day-care service in a leadership role.
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF.
  • Budget and financial accountability experience.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.
  • Current Working with Children's Check.

Full-time, ongoing, and permanent position

Annual Salary: $67,000 plus superannuation
