The School of Medicine is celebrating its 10th year anniversary and it has established a strong profile in excellence in teaching and research. Our affiliation with the Local Health District highlights a dual aim of attracting current and future medical leaders to the region, and in turn improving the provision of health care to the Western Sydney community. Our staff work across hospitals, clinical schools and research institutes at locations across Western Sydney including Liverpool, Campbelltown and Blacktown and across New South Wales at Lismore and Bathurst where our rural program is based, and students likewise are found across Western Sydney and across New South Wales.

The Blacktown/Mt Druitt Clinical School is a unit within the School of Medicine which is responsible for coordinating clinical placements and teaching at Blacktown/Mt Druitt Hospitals as part of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.

The primary responsibility of the Administration Officer is to provide professional services that support academics deliver, and students undertake clinical training components of the MD program. This role will undertake activities in accordance with the guidelines set by the School of Medicine Curriculum Committee and various Year committees and Academic Year and Discipline Co-ordinators.

The Administration Officer will also work closely with the Professor of Surgery and Clinical Dean at the Blacktown/Mt Druitt Clinical School in the provision of high quality administrative and clerical support for teaching, research and academic activities and the successful candidate will be expected to exercise a high level of independent judgement and discretion.

Importantly, this position will act as first point of contact for students, senior members of the academic staff, administrative staff and a range of contacts at all levels from outside the University, all students, stakeholders and hospital and university staff liaising with the Unit.

This is a full-time, ongoing appointment based at the Blacktown/Mt Druitt Clinical School (Blacktown Hospital).

Remuneration Package: Higher Education Worker Level 5 $86,024 to $97,432 p.a., (comprising Salary $72,691 to $82,331 p.a., Superannuation and Leave Loading).
