About the role:

This role will work professionally and collaboratively with the Facilities team delivering a range of government funded projects, this position will require you to work with the Facilities Director, Project managers, internal and external stakeholders.

Youll need to be a self-starter who wants to be part of a unique team that rewards hard work, and importantly you will need to be motivated to achieve success for our internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.

Your skills and experience
  • Experienced in delivering complex projects on time and on budget.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate standards, legislation, policy and procedures to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Strong planning with an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, manage, risks and issues ensuring stakeholder confidence.
  • Assist in the monitoring of project costing, review and endorse claims and payments in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Monitor and provide timely reporting of project milestones and deliverables ensuring effective record management including recording of minutes of project related meetings.
  • Able to jump in and deal with ambiguous and complex problems, to develop the best possible result in the time available.
  • Work with the team to select and engage consultants, service providers and suppliers in accordance with BHI policies
  • Experience with the development of tender submissions, including research, analysis and development of commercially competitive tender proposals following the BHI procurement process.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Building Construction or building related qualification with equivalent combination of relevant experience.
  • Competent AutoCAD experience plus the expertise to work with drawings.
  • Extensive experience with MS project, Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience in the Delivery of government funded projects would be advantageous.
  • It is desirable that the appointee to this position has a First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake such training if you are appointed to this position
You will need to provide or be willing to obtain a current National Police Records Check, a Working with Children Check, evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia, and certified copies of your qualifications.
