JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an innovative, passionate and dedicated Learning Support teacher to join our school community.

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. For more information regarding registration requirements, please CLICK HERE
- In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Service s (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. For more information on blue cards and exemption cards, please CLICK HERE
- Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department
- Delivering targeted curriculum for diverse learners, including students with disabilities
- Planning, assessing and reporting across several Australian Curriculum areas for students on Individual Curriculum Plans including English, Math, Humanities and Science
- Delivering and supporting the development of a literacy intervention program
- Case Management of students with diverse needs
- Co-teaching, working with other teachers to deliver curriculum to diverse learners
- Supporting the improvement of differentiation across the school in terms of content, process, product and environment
- Engaging with students and teachers over a wide variety of tasks to support in making adjustments
- Appropriate Inclusive Education or special education qualification, or equivalent experience. If not, a willingness to learn and develop as a special educator
- Knowledge of disabilities and specific learning difficulties
- The capacity to identify appropriate adjustments for students with diverse learning needs
- Experience implementing Individual Curriculum Plans and teaching students on various levels of the Australian Curriculum
- Case Management experience
- An ability to work supportively with students, parents and teachers with strong interpersonal communication skills
- A team player who can engage and work with a variety of staff

- Pre-service teachers are encouraged to include completed practicum reports, mentor/referee statements, unofficial academic transcript for current course of study
