Supporting an ARC Discovery Project, the Research Fellow is expected to build a nonequilibrium Green's functions-based model for 1. Plasmene sheets, and 2. Graphene-based carbon spacer whilst providing strong research support for modelling work associated with a joint work of Professor Malin Premaratne and Professor Wenlong Cheng.

This position will be responsible for the conduct of research under limited supervision using nonequilibrium Green`s functions and other associated quantum mechanical tools, either as a member of a team or, where appropriate, independently and the production or contribution to the production of conference and seminar papers and publications from that research. During this project’s employment, the successful candidate must write (i.e., co-author with Profesor Malin Premaratne and Professor Wenlong Cheng) at least one Physical Review paper for the nonequilibrium Green’s function-based Plasmene model and another Physical Review paper for the nonequilibrium Green's function-based carbon spacer model.

The candidate's attributes:

For your success in this role, you will require a doctoral qualification in Physics, Chemistry or Engineering with publications that contain nonequilibrium Green`s functions, preferably in Physical Review journals.

You will demonstrate proven ability to use state of the art computing resources to build computing algorithms using nonequilibrium Green`s functions.
