JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to attract a R-6 Curriculum & Pedagogy Coach who is:

In your role as R-6 Curriculum & Pedagogy Coach

• Provide leadership to the school's quality accountability and improvement model through the analysis of regular collection of data sets to investigate evidence of impact and to set direction, with a particular focus on Numeracy.
• Facilitates a culture of continuous learning and improvement through support, mentoring and coaching to ensure pedagogical practices are relevant, engaging and inclusive
• Shapes and leads the strategic directions of the Primary Years Schooling within the context of a large B - 12 college, with a particular focus on Numeracy. A Positive culture and Climate for learning is evident within the Primary Years of schooling.
• Facilitates the development and implementation of the B-6 Numeracy Strategy with appropriate support ensuring consistency and continuity of literacy and numeracy pedagogy and interventions across B-12.
• Support teachers to implement effective, challenging and high quality teaching and learning programs using Learning Design, Assessment and Moderation with the Australian Curriculum and the Quality Teacher Frameworks.
• Coach teachers to adopt and adapt SA curriculum document resources for class and year level planning.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement through a rigorous whole school performance development process that encourages all teachers to know their practice and impact in the classroom

To be successful in the role of R-6 Curriculum & Pedagogy Coach, you will have

• Experience and knowledge in building the learning culture of the school through quality practices coherent with the school vision, values and site plan. This will involve extensive consultation and collaboration with all sectors of the school and community.
• Demonstrated success in utilising data to initiate and lead change to achieve improved student learning outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively support and coach other leaders and teachers to evaluate and improve on their practice.
• High level communication skills and an ability in establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrated knowledge of high quality, evidence based, inclusive teaching and learning practices which support intellectual challenge for all learners.
• Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment; and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation.
