We are currently seeking a Team Leader Electrotechnology and Electrical Engineering in the Hunter region, with the specific campus location being negotiable, giving you flexibility to work close to home, or relocate to a beautiful region of NSW. The role of Team Leader is to provide active, innovative leadership across the educational process by guiding and enhancing the professional competence, educational standards, and program delivery to enable students to better achieve their outcomes.

About you:
To succeed in this role, you are an ambitious high functioning experienced Leader within the educational setting, looking to take the next step in a rewarding career. You are able to manage and, lead a passionate and diverse team of Teachers and Head Teachers who are dispersed across the region, and who are subject matter experts in their fields.

You will have demonstrated experience in delivering high quality training in an adult learning environment and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders within industry.

In addition you will have;

  • Appropriate technical or professional qualifications, and vocational and or industrial experience, to be able to teach in one of the principal areas supervised by the head teacher position.
  • Evidence of successful completion of an approved program of teacher education, or evidence of successful completion of an acceptable teaching qualification. * Current (AQF) Level 5 or higher qualification in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • High level written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated high level of teaching competence.
  • Thorough knowledge and technical expertise relevant to current teaching methods.
  • Demonstrated qualities in educational leadership.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop a team of professional staff members.
  • Demonstrated sound administrative skills, and ability to plan, manage and monitor financial, human and physical resources.
