Our service is located in Port Lincoln, SA and we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Director to lead our team.
Port Lincoln is a coastal regional city on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. We are surrounded by ocean and farming, and our local area thrives on the fishing industry and agriculture. As Port Lincoln is sought by tourists, there is always something to see and do.
About us:
We are a 114 place long day care centre and currently providing care to 260 children through-out a week. Our service can be fast paced and the Approved Providers work closely with the team to support and guide practices for higher outcomes, continually working towards excellence.
About you:
We are seeking a Director who has leadership qualities and the ability to maintain a professional standard at all times, upholding our values, and consistently working with the families and educators with a positive can do attitude. You will have good knowledge and understanding of the laws and legislation relevant to early childhood and have the capacity to implement practice to support compliance.
Your role:
Duties can include, but is not limited to the following
Mentoring the staff, guiding their practice and building their capacity to develop high understanding of the Quality Areas and EYLF.
Managing bookings and parental enquiries as well as administrative duties.
Performing team and staff meetings to promote collaborative and professional discussions.
Rosters and staffing arrangements.
Reviewing policies and procedures and maintaining the regulatory requirements for service operation.
Having the ability to budget as some stock ordering etc will be required.
Having the ability to work with the Approved Providers in relation to all service operations.

Qualifications/skills:
Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
First aid, including asthma and anaphylaxis.
Current DCSI clearance.
Police clearance.
RAN or Child Safe Training.
Have a passion for early childhood and the ability to interact and communicate well with others (both written and verbally).
Have the ability to think quickly and problem solve.
Hold knowledge and understanding of all aspects of an early childhood service and it's functions.
