JOB DESCRIPTION

Full Job Description

Dripstone Children's Centre is a vibrant 72-place, community-run childcare centre based in the leafy northern suburb of Brinkin. We believe that our role far exceeds that of Education and Care for children birth to school age. We believe that if we are to raise a generation of children who will do a better job of caring for the planet than we have done then we must do things differently and support children to become environmentally responsible citizens. 'Living Loving Nature' is central to everything we do at Dripstone. Our beautiful and inviting centre works alongside families to ensure exceptional outcomes for the children of our community.

As a casual team member, you will be responsible for supporting and liaising with all team members in planning, delivering and monitoring the effectiveness of a high quality early childhood education and care curriculum, in accordance with the National Quality Framework. You will work closely with the Director, Educational Leader, ECT, Lead Educators and community stakeholders to further develop our 'Living Loving Nature' curriculum and ‘The Dripstone way’.

Hold an approved Certificate 3 or working towards level qualification or ACECQA assessed equivalent

Have a sound understanding of the NQF including practical implementation of the NQS, EYLF and evidence based best practice

Passionate about nature‑play pedagogy and committed to ongoing professional learning and development

Adept at creating strong, trusting relationships with all stakeholders

Approachable and effective in providing professional guidance to colleagues in relation to educational outcomes and pedagogy
